VIPM on Linux

Welcome to the VIPM Linux documentation! VIPM (VI Package Manager) is now available for Linux with modern installers and powerful command-line tools.

Installation

For the latest and best experience, we recommend installing the VIPM 2026 Q1 Preview release, which includes:

  • VIPM CLI - Command-line interface for automation and CI/CD workflows
  • Native Linux Installers - Available in both DEB and RPM package formats
  • Full Package Management - Install, update, and remove LabVIEW packages
  • VI Package Building - Build .vip packages natively on Linux
